WELCOME NEW POST-DOCTORAL SCIENTIST MAGGIE HANTAK!

The Machine Learning and Sensing Lab is excited to welcome our newest lab member, Maggie Hantak! Maggie received her Ph.D. from Ohio University in 2019.   She studies the ecological and evolutionary processes that maintain genetic and phenotypic variation within and among populations, specifically, in woodland salamanders.   Maggie will be using machine learning to score salamander color morphs from the expansive collection of polymorphic Plethodon within U.S. natural history museums.   She will be joining us as well as Drs. Robert Guralnick and David Blackburn in the Florida Museum of Natural History as a Post-doctoral Scientist — and we are excited to be working with her!

Welcome to our lab, Maggie!
