In response to the recent AI initiative launched by the University of Florida, the UF Informatics Institute (UFII) is hosting a virtual seminar series, “AI Advances and Applications”. The online series will feature innovative work being conducted in AI and Machine Learning across the university, and will include a talk by Alina Zare.
Sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 PM. The event schedule for September 2020 is as follows:
- September 2, 2020: Dr. Adrian Roitberg, “AI for Quantum Chemistry”
- September 9, 2020: Dr. Sanjay Ranka, “AI for Smart City Transportation”
- September 16, 2020: Dr. Mattia Prosperi, “The big short with AI in biomedical sciences: when actions don’t follow predictions”
- September 30, 2020: Dr. Alina Zare, “Plant Root Analysis with Multiple Instance Learning”
