GatorSense Lab at COLLABORATE 2025, Greater Gainesville Chamber Investors Meeting

It was a great pleasure that we were invited by the Greater Gainesville Chamber to share our work at the COLLABORATE 2025 – Investors Meeting on December 14th, 2021 at The Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention. Dr. Zare talked about the research we do at The Machine Learning and Sensing Lab, and an overview of IoT4Ag – Internet of Things for Precision Agriculture, NSF’s Engineering Research Center’s work across all partner universities (www.iot4ag.us).

Dylan Stewart and Khaled Hamad spoke about flying the UAV-mounted hyperspectral camera for agricultural studies in collaboration with UF researchers and industry partners. Over the past 2 years, our lab has collected hyperspectral imagery over peanuts, sesame plants, grasslands, and most recently in the Everglades to assist in a variety of agricultural and environmental projects. Josh Peeples talked about how he developed new texture analysis methods for AI-driven image analysis.
