Today the University of Florida announced a $70 million artificial intelligence partnership with NVIDIA!  The initiative will create an AI-centric data center at UF, housing the fastest AI supercomputer in higher education.  Along with this technology, UF will collaborate with NVIDIA to further advance both research and education in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

While the Machine Learning and Sensing Lab has already been at the forefront of research in machine learning for remote sensing, we are excited for the opportunities this gift will provide.  Specifically, this partnership allows us access to unprecedented computing power and opportunities for collaboration across research disciplines.  We can’t wait to see where this partnership takes us, the University of Florida and ML/AI as a whole!
