Welcome new Post-doctoral Scientist Susan Meerdink!

The Machine Learning and Sensing Lab is excited to welcome our newest lab member Susan Meerdink! Susan got her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from University of California Santa Barbara. She studies the ability to map plant species across seasons in diverse ecosystems and uses various technologies to study plant health across environmental gradients and physiology’s effect on optical properties of plant species. She is broadly trained in plant physiology, remote sensing, and ecosystem science. Her research leverages a number of tools including novel quantitative methods, land surface temperature, and leaf and imaging spectroscopy in the optical and thermal domain. She will be joining our lab as a Post-doctoral scientist and we are excited to be working with her! Welcome to our lab, Susan!
