Congratulations to Mr. Shashank Avusali for graduating with his M.S. this past week! His thesis is titled “Three Dimensional Reconstruction of Plant Roots via Low Energy X-ray Computed Tomography.” His research focused on generating a three-dimensional model of a plant root system in a non-invasive and non-destructive manner. His work was to develop image processing methods to enhance and segment plant root systems from low signal-to-noise ratio images. Now he has been hired at the VirtueSense Technologies as an Algorithm Software Engineer focusing on developing mathematical models to identify patient’s motion and fall detection and create alerting mechanisms.
