Grad students Dan Stewart and Dalton Berrie – with Simmons Lab colleagues, the Glover Lab, and General Surgery – published our findings that mechanics of the gut change in patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. We also showed that gut mechanics vary across animal species, suggesting caution when utilizing animals to investigate mechanics-oriented hypotheses.
