Dr. Greenslet’s Visit to the University of São Paulo at São Carlos School of Engineering (USP-EESC)

 

Dr. Hitomi Yamaguchi Greenslet visited the University of São Paulo at São Carlos School of Engineering (USP-EESC) between 11/30/2019 and 12/12/2019. Her activities included:
1. Lecture series: Advances in Non-traditional manufacturing processes
2. Guest lecture entitled Magnetic Abrasive Finishing of Additively Manufactured Components http://www.saocarlos.usp.br/palestra-magnetic-abrasive-finishing-of-additively-manufactured-components/
3. Collaborative research project with Dr. Eraldo da Silva and his students of the Laboratory for Advanced Processes and Sustainability (LAPRAS)
4. Workshop on Additive Manufacturing on 12/12/2019 where she witnessed a demonstration of the hybrid manufacturing machine, which is being used to build a replica of the Jules Rimet Cup.

This visit was part of a cooperative agreement between USP-EESC and UF.
