An article based on former E2C PhD student Dr. Daniel Frank’s dissertation has been published in the Journal of Engineering Education’s October, 2021, issue. Titled “Investigating culturally contextualized making with the Navajo Nation”, this research used phenomenography to explore the unique ways that the DinĂ© experience making. The article is available at https://doi.org/10.1002/jee.20423. Dr. Frank is a Lecturer in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University where he teaches engineering design. He is also faculty advisor to Desert WAVE (Women in Autonomous Vehicle Engineering), an all-woman team that designs and develops autonomous vehicles to compete in various competitions.
