Dr. Faria joins the Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences and is excited to investigate new technologies to improve water treatment and water quality.

Dr. Faria’s research is focused on the used of nanotechnology to provide alternative solution to water decontamination. New nano-based materials can be used as adsorbents, sensors, and new antimicrobial agents to increase the production of potable water.
