IoT Students Club

The IoT Students Club at the University of Florida, affiliated with the Warren B. Nelms Institute for the Connected World, fosters the advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technology among UF undergraduates and graduates. The club organizes a national IoT Design Competition to spotlight student innovation and offers resources and events like hands-on workshops. Through these initiatives, the club encourages students to apply IoT solutions to real-world problems and raises awareness of IoT’s impact on our world.

Warren B. Nelms Annual IoT Conference

The Warren B. Nelms Annual IoT Conference brings together IoT experts and leaders from across the country to learn, share ideas, and spark new collaborations. Invited speakers give inspiring talks on insights, challenges, and the future of IoT. The conference gives students the opportunity to showcase their research spanning various aspects of smart and connected systems during the poster and demo sessions.

Cade Museum Summer Camp for Middle School Students

Through a partnership with the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention, we’ve developed a hands-on microelectronics and AI summer camp curriculum that uses a kid-friendly version of the AHA board. At the end of the camp, middle school students produce a team project that uses microelectronics and AI to address a problem that is relevant to their lives.
