PhD student Rohan Reddy Kalavakonda is the recipient of the 2025 Attributes of a Gator Engineer award. The award is considered the greatest distinction of any student award given by the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering.

Sudipta Paria is the recipient of the  2025 ECE Graduate Student Research Excellence award. The award is given yearly to an ECE graduate student who has excelled in their research during the academic year. The award recognizes students’ dedication, enthusiasm, and promise as an graduate researcher in the ECE department.

Electrical Engineering undergraduate student Tianjun Wang is the recipient of the 2025 ECE Undergraduate Student Research Excellence award. The award is given yearly to an ECE undergraduate student who has excelled in their research during the academic year. The award recognizes students’ dedication, enthusiasm, and promise as an undergraduate researcher in the ECE department. Students are nominated by their faculty advisor.

Team UF NanoKnights, comprised of three lab PhD students, won 1st Place in the HACK@DAC 2024 Competition. The members of the team are Sudipta Paria, Atri Chatterjee, and Aritra Dasgupta. The team is advised by Dr. Swarup Bhunia.
