The lab presented “Using 3D Audio to Augment the Museum Experience” to the AES 2022 AVAR Conference in Redmond, Seattle. The project aims to incorporate an indoor GPS with a real-time rendering system on a portable computer to create a realistic personalized soundscape for museum visitors’ experience. The live demo allowed the audience to experience the device in a simulated exhibition scenario.
The AES 2022 AVAR Conference, sponsored by Reality Labs Research, Brandenburg Labs, HEAD acoustics, Audioscenic, and Microsoft, is intended to play a dominant role in sharing ideas and information amongst the industry leaders influencing the XR industry.
