Dr. Siddig holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University (2021), an MSc in Industrial Engineering (2019), an MSc in Actuarial Science (2015) from the University of Manchester (UK), and a BSc in Economics (2013) from the University of Khartoum (Sudan). His research focuses on optimization under uncertainty, including (multistage) stochastic programming, Markov decision processes, and approximate dynamic programming. In particular, he is motivated by applying these techniques to improve planning and performance in large-scale systems. Dr. Siddig teaches undergraduate and graduate courses that span a range of topics, including operations research, data analytics, probability and statistics. Beyond teaching, he serves in multiple service roles at the department, college and university levels.
