Bio

Dr. Fatemeh Nosrat is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida. She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, in 2022, under supervision of Dr. William L. Cooper. From 2022 to 2025, she was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Computational Applied Mathematics and Operations Research at Rice University, working with Dr. Andrew J. Schaefer. She also held a concurrent appointment as a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, working with Dr. Clifton David Fuller. During her postdoctoral training, she supervised undergraduate research, taught courses, and contributed to more than 30 grant proposals in optimization and operations research with applications in healthcare.

Dr. Nosrat’s research lies at the intersection of operations research, optimization, and healthcare, with a focus on developing mathematical and quantitative models, including optimal decision support systems, to guide clinical decision-making, particularly in cancer care. She is also interested in leveraging these decision-making models across a variety of research domains. um of operations research and optimization and includes, but is not limited to stochastic optimization, integer programming, inverse optimization, discrete choice modeling, and pricing and revenue management with network effects
