BRITTANY PARTAIN was awarded a Graduate Student Council Travel Grant and a BME Departmental Travel Award to attend BMES, where she will be giving an oral presentation.

OBIORA AZIE was selected to participate in the Summer, 2018 NSF Dissertation Institute Program at the University of Houston.

MACKENZIE GRUBB was selected as a Fernandez Family Scholar for Fall, 2018.

Congratulations to NOA GROOMS who will be pursuing a PhD at Northeastern University and to SAM WARNOCK who will be pursuing a PhD at UC Santa Barbara starting Fall, 2018.

Former PhD student, MELISSA CRUZ-ACUNA, will be joining Jamal Lewis’s lab at UC-Davis as a postdoc.

JON DOBSON and CARLOS RINALDI are Co-editors of a forthcoming book from CRC Press – “Nanomagnetic Actuation of Cell Surface Receptors: Basic Principles and Applications”.

NOA GROOMS was awarded the Gerald and Elaine L. Gibson scholarship from UF’s Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. Noa also received the Anderson Scholar Award from UF’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

SAM WARNOCK was selected as a UF University Scholar for the 2017-2018 academic year.

OLIVIA LANIER was awarded a NSF Fellowship to attend the International Summer School on Bio-X:Biocomplexity, Biodesign, and Bioinnovation in Crete. 

JON DOBSON received the International Journal of Nanomedicine Distinguished Scientist Award presented at a special invited session of the Society for Biomaterials.

OLIVIA LANIER received an Honorable Mention for the Ford Foundation Fellowship.
