Welcome

the neitzel group studies the self-assembly of charged polymers to mimic the properties and performance of biological materials.

Welcome! The Neitzel group studies how electrostatic interactions control the phase behavior, and thereby the structure, of polymer materials across length scales. We use polymer synthesis to systematically probe fundamental physics of polyelectrolyte complexes and leverage our understanding in the fabrication of solid polymer materials with desirable properties and functions mimicking biological materials.
