Project Goal:
The overarching objective of this proposal is to demonstrate the concept of Digital Twin technology in the cold chain applications of fresh produce. The temperature of the refrigerated case and temperature-related quality of fresh produce will be monitored based on the sensor data and mechanistic models run real time. User interface will provide optimum shelf life decision criteria for the refrigerator (e.g., assets) operation or food handling (e.g. sale incentives, donation, etc.

Undergraduate Students: NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU): Secure, Accessible, and Sustainable Transportation (SAST)
Project Goal: This project examines a network of autonomous vehicles (AVs) communicating with data servers in an urban mobility scenario, studying network behavior in normal situations and under Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. Data is extracted from the simulations to train and test a neural network whose objective is to successfully detect attacks on the AV network to improve its security.
