On Jan 12, Hwangbo passed his examination to candidacy. He did an outstanding job presenting his work to committee members and answering thought-provoking questions.

His dissertation is titled “The Social Ties of Asian Women that Influence Their Intention to Pursue a Civil Engineering Career.” He is currently at the stage of processing IRB protocol for data collection.
