On October 21 – 23, 2019, Dr. Simmons and Dr. Chau attended the 2019 NSF EEC Grantees Conference for two and a half days at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia. This conference provided an opportunity for Engineering Education and Centers (EEC) Principal Investigators and team leaders to learn, explore, and share ideas that will promote innovation in engineering education research and practice. This year, the overall theme is bridging connections. The two posters behinds are current active projects at Simmons Research Lab:
- CAREER: Investigating Co-Curricular Participation of Students Underrepresented in Engineering (on the left):
- Preparing a 21st Century STEM Workforce: Defining & Measuring Leadership in Engineering Education (on the right)
These two projects are funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
