Welcome two new Ph.D. students!

Simmons Research Lab welcomes Hwangbo Bae and Benyamin Sadeghi joining our team in Fall 2019.

Hwangbo has just completed his Master in Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech. Prior to attending graduate school in 2018, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech. Hwangbo Bae completed his military duty as an artillery sergeant in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps. in 2017. His major interest in research is investigating the value of leadership that influences worker safety in the construction industry, thus increasing the overall quality of the project and sustainability of the workforce. He loves listening to music and watching movies during his spare time.

Benyamin graduated from Sharif University of Technology in June 2015 with the M.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Management. He had experience as a project manager in different fields of the construction industry (residential buildings, Highways, renovations, and sidewalks) From August 2015 until March 2019. His research focuses on workforce development and risk management. He loves mountain climbing and swimming during his spare time.
