Undergraduate researcher, Victoria Consalvo, was selected as a part of the 2025 UFHCC University Scholars Program. This prestigious award is given to undergraduate students to educate the next generation of professionals on the importance of biomedical research and scientific discoveries, specifically focused on cancer. Those selected are paired with faculty mentors to complete a research project throughout the year. Students who receive the award are expected to present their research at the UFHCC Research Showcase.

Victoria is a junior studying Biomedical Engineering and has been a member of the Sharma Lab since Summer 2023. Victoria will investigate magnetic nanoparticles to track natural killer cells via magnetic particle imaging .
