On November 6th, Jessica Aldrich successfully defended her PhD, titled ‘Advancing a Reactive Oxygen Species Scavenging Nanomaterial Platform to Target Oxidative Stress In Osteoarthritis’! This work is the culmination of the last five and a half years of Jessica’s work in both the Sharma Lab and the Allen Lab.
While at the University of Florida, Jessica published several research articles and mentored a number of undergraduate and masters students. She has been a staple in the lab and the legacy of her work will be continued on by our graduate students focusing on optimizing ROS-scavenging nanomaterials and subsequent translation into additional pre-clinical OA models.
After Jessica presented her oral thesis defense, we hosted a celebration with members from both the Sharma lab and the Allen lab to commemorate the day.
Congratulations Dr. Aldrich, we are so proud of you!
