GRS Pier Performance Tests

Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil (GRS) pier with #57 stone backfill and 4,800 lb/ft geotextile layers at 8 inches spacing. The pier is 6 ft tall and has an internal footprint of 3 ft X 3 ft.

GRS Pier Performance Tests

Axial load-deformation tests are performed to measure lateral and axial strain and capture the maximum axial capacity for the #57 stone and 4,800 lbs/ft composite pier.
