21st Annual Neuromuscular Plasticity Symposium<\/h4> April 16, 2026

March 13, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to Allison Campbell-Galbraith who received Outstanding Graduate Poster<\/em> and Best Graphical Abstract <\/em>at the University of Florida’s 21st Annual Neuromuscular Plasticity T32 Symposium. She presented her work on modulating neuroinflammatory responses after spinal cord injury and learned from colleagues working in neuromuscular regeneration and rehabilitation. Thank you to the T32 training program for their support of Allison!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring UG Research Presentations and End of Semester Celebration<\/h4> April 24, 2025

Wonderful job by my trainees today! We had our Spring UG research presentations. Extra congratulations to our graduating students \u2013 Samantha Shumard and Izabella Zmirska for receiving their BS degrees in BME, and Dr. Xander Lim (co-advised with Dr. Kevin Otto, now Head of BME at Purdue) for receiving his PhD in BME! We celebrated afterwards at Chuy\u2019s, and celebrated Samantha\u2019s and Izabella\u2019s graduation at the BME Pinning Ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allison starts summer internship at Dow Chemical<\/h4> May 20, 2024

Allison was selected to participate in an industry internship with Dow Chemical in Michigan, as part of the “2023-2024 Campus Internship – Digital Innovation \u2013 Cross-functional (Ph.D)”.
