This program places elementary school teachers into engineering labs in order to enhance their science instruction. The teachers complete a research project for the lab, and also develop a lesson for their students that relates to the lab\u2019s area of investigation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: #FAF8F1;vertical-align: baseline;margin: 0in 0in 15.0pt 0in\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;color: #333132\">Sabrina is in the lab this summer participating with the REU Engineering for Healthcare program funded by the National Science Foundation. This program seeks out students with limited research opportunities to join UF labs and focus on engineering challenges in healthcare.
