Aleksandr M. Kazachkov is an assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and an assistant director of the Center for Applied Optimization<\/a> at the University of Florida. His research is in discrete optimization and computational economics, with prior work focusing on cutting plane algorithms, fair allocation of scarce resources, and fair mechanism design for healthcare, humanitarian, and sports settings. He received his Ph.D. in the Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization<\/a> program through the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, under Egon Balas<\/a>, and following that was a postdoctoral researcher at Polytechnique Montr\u00e9al under Andrea Lodi<\/a>. For his research, he has received a GERAD Postdoctoral Fellowship, the 2018 INFORMS Computing Society Student Paper Award, the 2014 MIP Workshop Best Poster Prize, and the 2016 EXPLORE Workshop at AAMAS Most Visionary Paper Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
