Post-Doctoral Students

Dr. Haochen Li is presently a postdoctoral associate. He received his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2019. He received his M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida in 2015 and his B.S. degree in Coastal Engineering from Hohai University in 2013. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics, particulate matter-fluid separation, turbulence modeling, granular filtration, and the development of computational tools for the evaluation and optimization of urban water treatment systems.
Ph.D. Students

Jong-Yeop Kim
Jong-Yeop Kim is presently pursuing a Ph.D. degree. He holds a M.S. degree in Environmental engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. His primary research interests include investigation into the mechanisms and performance, and management of Unit Operations and Processes (UOPs) for rainfall-runoff particles.

Bo Liu
Bo Liu is presently pursuing a Ph.D. degree. He has a M.S. degree in Natural Resources from LSU. His primary research includes investigations into toxicity associated with urban stormwater runoff, and applications of media filtration as a UOP for toxicity abatement. Recent winner of the Graduate level FWEA prize for poster appearance at the 2006 EES poster symposium.

Gaoxiang Ying
Gaoxiang Ying is presently pursuing a Ph.D. degree. He holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University, P.R. China. His primary research includes characterization of particulate matter in urban dry deposition and source area rainfall runoff loadings.

Srikanth Pathapati
Srikanth Pathapati is presently pursuing a Ph.D. degree. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras, India. His primary research includes performance characterization, optimization and computational fluid dynamics(CFD) modeling of Unit Operations and Processes (UOPs) for rainfall-runoff particles.

Natalie Magill
Natalie Magill is presently pursuing a Ph.D. degree. She holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from Louisiana State University. Her primary research interest is in the characterization of snowmelt sediments, with emphasis on granulometry, metals and nutrients. She is also the first certified female forklift operator in the College of Engineering.

Robert Rooney
Robert Rooney is presently pursuing a Ph.D. degree. He earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University and an M.E. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida. His primary research includes Computational Fluid Dynamics modelling with experimental validation on UOPs for Stormwater Pollution Remediation.
