Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from\u00a0University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)\u00a0in 2015, with a Distinguished Ph.D. Dissertation Award (advisor: Prof.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderschaar-lab.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mihaela van der Schaar<\/a><strong>)<\/strong>. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from\u00a0Tsinghua University, China, in 2008 and 2010, respectively (advisor: Prof.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/network.ee.tsinghua.edu.cn\/niulab\/niu_zhisheng.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zhisheng Niu<\/a><strong>)<\/strong>. Prior to joining the University of Florida as an Associate Professor in 2024, Dr. Xu was a faculty member at the University of Miami. Dr. Xu&#8217;s research interest includes edge computing, edge artificial intelligence, wireless networks, machine learning for communication networks, and network security.
