The team proposes an integrated system solution comprised of a mobile secure app, a traveler monitoring system, an automated in-vehicle agent, and a cloud framework for real-time analytics. The team will develop a physical prototype consisting of a full-size vehicle equipped with the developed interfaces and sensors.

We acknowledge funding from: USDOT Inclusive Design Challenge “Optimizing Highly Automated Driving Systems for People with Cognitive Disabilities” (2021-2022).

Outreach

Assistive Technology Update Podcast

Assistive Technology Update with Josh Anderson: ATU558 – Optimizing Highly Automated Driving Systems for People with Cognitive Disabilities with Dr. Alexandra Kondyli and Dr. Sanaz Motamedi on Apple Podcasts

Publications

Optimizing Automated Driving Systems for People with Cognitive Impairments

Optimizing Automated Driving Systems for People with Cognitive Impairments.
