We are interested in controlling turbulence and turbulent structures through various actuators. Here, we show some graphs from two programs that are conducted to reduce noise and increase performance. The first involves the alteration of the flow by actuation with plasma of rotors to reduce noise during certain maneuvers. The second set of figures shows the use of plasma inside nozzles to reduce noise and maintain performance. The interaction of plasma with gasses is a very difficult topic that we are actively investigating.
