Professor and Steven A. Yatauro Faculty Fellow, ECE Department
Associate Director, Florida Institute for National Security (FINS)<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

As of August 16, 2023, I am a Professor and the Steven A. Yatauro Faculty Fellow in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at the University of Florida. From 2013 to 2015, I was an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at the University of Connecticut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am also the Associate Director for the Florida Institue for National Security (FINS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My current research focuses on:<\/big><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Traditional and AI-Enabled Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Tools, Metrics, and Rules for Hardware Security<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Microelectronics Supply Chain Security and Assurance: Semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP) Protection. Counterfeit Electronics Detection and Avoidance, Hardware Trojan Detection and Prevention, Reverse Engineering and Anti-reverse Engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Hardware Security Benchmarking: Test Article Generation and Data Augmentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Countermeasures Against Physical Attacks<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Hardware Security Primitive Design and Fabrication: Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs), True Random Number Generators (TRNGs), Chaogates<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Biometrics: Authentication, Indexing, and Privacy<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
