Background: I was born in Miami, Florida, and grew up in the small town of Wesley Chapel, a suburb near Tampa, FL. As a high school student at Land O’ Lakes High School, I grew an interest in STEM while pursuing an International Baccalaureate diploma. There, I explored fractal mathematics and experimented with lactobacillus cell cultures. However, it was ultimately my studies characterizing damped spring-mass systems and air flow around flat plates that led me to pursue an aerospace engineering degree at the University of Florida. Since entering UF, I’ve taken that passion to work with APRG to perform novel first principle research into flow control using plasma technology.

Current Activities: I currently dedicate myself to the numerical simulation of supersonic flow within a jet intake. To perform the study, I’ve had to generate meshing and run simulations in ANSYS Fluent and post-process using methods of numerical analysis implemented in MATLAB, FORTRAN90, and TECPLOT360. Additionally, I am assisting the construction of a subsonic wind tunnel for the APRG lab.
